Distributors Ignition Technology and Global Distribution have both made signings to strengthen their vendor portfolios.
With 2020 still just a few weeks old the channel players are clearly hoping that they can improve the range of services they offer partners to gain advantage this year.
The firm has signed up Cybereason to take the vendor’s Cyber Defense platform out to resellers and help increase channel numbers.
Sean Remnant, chief strategy officer at Ignition Technology, said that there was a significant amount of market interest in endpoint protection.
“There is a huge opportunity and demand for enterprise class endpoint detection and response products and services,” he added “This is validated by independent research that shows the endpoint security area as being one of the fastest growth areas in cyber security at almost three times the rate of the broader market.”
To start with the distributor will focus on recruiting security specialists that can sell into a number of vertical markets and have relationships with enterprise customers.
“Ignition Technology has a proven ability to bring innovative security technology to market along with the technical, sales and marketing support to grow our UK channel community,” said Christian Stanford, vice president of EMEA Channel for Cybereason.
Global Distribution
The media and entertainment focused VAD has signed up Qumulo to add more networked attached and hybrid cloud file storage options to the portfolio.
Qumulo is coming from the file storage world with propositions for on-prem, hybrid and cloud environments. The attraction of Global Distribution is the opportunity to pitch into the media and entertainment vertical, which has a healthy appetite for data generation.
“Qumulo provides a modern infrastructure that can handle the toughest 4K, Rendering and VFX workloads, with limitless scalability on-prem or in the cloud,” said Molly Presley, Qumulo’s head of global product marketing.
“Our partnership with Global Distribution allows us to accelerate our strong momentum within the M&E market while providing easy access and availability of Qumulo’s NAS file systems to more users and resellers around the globe,” she added.
Nick Warburton, WW director of enterprise storage at Global Distribution, said the addition of the storage vendor’s offerings added more depth to the offerings it could provide for resellers.
“Qumulo’s Scale-Across NAS and hybrid cloud file storage solutions will allow our partners to deliver truly modern storage solutions to their customers and enable them to meet the ever more taxing needs of media dne entertainment applications,” he said.
